Upholstery & Furnishing velvet
Flock Velvet Fabric Manufacturer
Bright imported flock velvet for jewellery boxes, packaging and décor — including taffeta-backed varieties.
Flock velvet is a velvet-surfaced cloth made by bonding short fibres onto a taffeta or nylon base, not by weaving pile. Shailesh Velvet Industries (Kedarnath Velvet), a Mumbai flock velvet fabric manufacturer with nearly 40 years in velvet, supplies bright imported qualities at about 54-inch width, plus thinner taffeta-backed grades. It gives an even, matte, deep-coloured surface. Main buyers are jewellery-box, gift-box and packaging makers.
How It Is Made
Adhesive is applied to a base cloth and fine cut fibres are set upright onto it, usually electrostatically, forming a dense, even pile. The taffeta or nylon base keeps the cloth thin and easy to cut, fold and glue without fraying. This suits it to lining boxes, lids and trays.

Flock Velvet — frequently asked questions
How is flock velvet different from woven velvet?
It is made by bonding short fibres onto a taffeta or nylon base instead of weaving pile. This makes it thinner and easier to glue, cut and fold, which suits box linings and packaging.
Which grade suits jewellery boxes?
The bright imported flock taffeta grades work best, for dense, even pile and firm fibre hold so linings do not shed. Thinner taffeta-backed grades suit small inserts and trays.
What is the minimum order and are samples available?
Minimums are negotiable and depend on colour and grade. We send a shade card or cutting so you can confirm colour and pile before ordering in bulk.
Can you match custom colours and export?
Yes. On adequate quantities we match colours to your box board or brand. We supply across India and overseas, with export documentation and packing arranged on request.
