Shailesh Velvet Industries is a viscose velvet fabric manufacturer in India, producing high-sheen viscose (rayon) velvet under the Kedarnath Velvet brand. Viscose and rayon are the same fibre in Indian trade. The fabric drapes well and takes deep colour, woven 54-58 inches wide. It is bought by ethnic-wear and apparel makers, decor brands, traders and importers.
Finishes: dyed, crushed and ombre
We offer viscose velvet as solid dyed, as crushed velvet, and as ombre-print velvet with graduated colour transitions. Custom colours and prints are made to your artwork or reference, with azo-free dyeing available for export. Samples and lab-dips are provided before bulk so you can approve shade.
Applications and supply
Viscose velvet is used for gowns, lehengas, kurtis, blouses and other ethnic wear, and for cushions and decor. As a natural viscose velvet it drapes and breathes well, unlike fully synthetic pile. We have supplied the trade for close to 40 years from our base near Mumbai, across India and for export.

Viscose / Rayon Velvet — frequently asked questions
Is rayon velvet the same as viscose velvet?
Yes. In Indian trade, rayon and viscose are the same regenerated-cellulose fibre, so the two names refer to the same fabric. It gives the sheen, drape and deep colour associated with both.
Do you offer crushed and ombre-print velvet?
Yes. Alongside solid dyed shades we supply crushed velvet and ombre-print velvet with graduated colour. Custom prints are developed from your artwork, with samples before bulk.
What is the MOQ and do you take custom colours?
Minimum orders are negotiable by shade and finish. Custom colours and prints are made to your reference or Pantone number. Lab-dips and samples are provided before bulk.
Do you supply for export?
Yes. We are GST-registered and hold an IEC, and ship to overseas buyers as well as across India. Export documentation is arranged on request.
